Movie/Television Threads

Not sure how difficult/easy this would be. Basically, I am wanting to assign a specific forum for movie discussion on my board, and the same for discussion of TV shows.

I really like how the hack system works on this site, in terms of a first post that details the hacks and has the links down the right hand side etc. I would like to be able to include something similar for each movie/tv show. When I start a thread I would expect to be asked the title, release date, genre, summary, official site link of the film. When I submit, it would make the first post (like the one in the hacks forum on here) with all of this info (a profile of sorts for the film or tv show) and allow my users to discuss this film within that thread, having these useful bits of info on hand at the start of the thread.

Any idea if this is possible?

Ya I asked for this a few weeks ago without a response, but I think someone is working on a mod just like it. Hopefully that coder comes by and tells us whats going on.

Form Hack. It's a mess to work with, but if you get someone that knows what they're doing to work with it, you can create a really nice template for the first post.

It does exactly what you want. You tell it all the different fields, provide the layout, and you can even require that everything be filled out before it posts.

Then you could also install the hack that keeps the first post on every page if you want it to act like the modifications threads. (Sorry can't remember the name offhand)

No need to code anything new. You already have all the tools to do it. :)

I thought someone coded a hack similar to what you are after.. can't remember the name of it and I search and didn't find the one I was thinking of. Maybe someone else knows lol
