Extracting jobs from job sites & posting in seperate page of forums
 

hi there..
first of all i'm newbie to vbulletin forums.. & i've purchased it just 4 days a go..
i'm having 1 problem with my current vbulletin forums.. that.. previously i was using phpbb forums & in that i was having 1 mod which used to collect jobs from specified job recruitment sites by matching specified critaria & just used to index the links from that site on 1 page in my forums...

Were you getting the listings through an rss feed from them? You can set that up in your admin cp.

please tell me how??
do i have to create separate forum for that??
if yes then whats next?? how do i set it up from admin cp?? :(

I would take a look at the mod you were using before and see what they were doing. I don't know what the rss feed is for that site, but you may be able to find it by searching around.

thank you very much for the reply man. but it seems like that techbirbal guy isn't using rss feed but there is Job messenger thing in naukri.com which allows you to create certain job filter accordingly. but i couldn't find rss feed link from that job messenger rather it mails us those jobs.

I'm not familiar with job messenger at all, so I really can't help you to integrate that with your site. All I can suggest is taking a look at the code for the phpbb hack and then seeing if you can modify it for vb.
