Embarrassingly Simple Question

The only dumb question is the one not asked, although some seem so basic as to be embarrassing to ask. Oh well. Here goes:

What is the difference between PostBit and PostBit Legacy and how do I tell which my board uses?!

Post bit is what you see here. Your name and stats are at the top of your posts.

Postbit Legacy will put all that information on the left hand side of your posts.

hth :)

this is in the documentation of vbulletin...

people would flame you if you ask about something in the docs.

avoid them, you would be better off.

Just a note: many mods will make reference to changes in the postbit but its generally understood that postbit means postbit or postbit_legacy templates.

Actually on vB.org it depends on your profile settings. ;)

For me vB.org uses postbit legacy.

Freesteyelz 10-24-2007 08:57 AM

Except for the first post of mods and articles. They aren't affected by the profile settings. :)

 Didn't even think of that. :)

Ah, is that a mod available for use? I tried searching and didn't find it.

ssslippy 10-24-2007 10:17 PM

There is a mod to allow for this.

Opserty 10-24-2007 11:07 PM

There might be an updated one but this is the only one I found: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=120793
