MOd interferring with simple search on the Blog

Hi All,

I have been trying to trouble shoot a potential mod that is affecting the simple search feature on the blog, both from the left hand side of the blog page and also the simple blog search in the nav bar. e.g. If I put the word rugby into either and hit search I get no results.

If I then use the advanced blog search page and put rugby into the "Blog Text Contains:" I do get results as this word is in the text.

If I put the word mistake into the simple search I get correct results for two blog titles that both contain the word "mistake". But both titles also contain the word first and second - one in each as in first mistake and second mistake. Searching on these words returns no results in the same simple search as worked for the word "mistake".

Hmmm maybe the result came because the search was look in some way for results that have the word in all titles rather than just one? But maybe that is to far fetched.

I've also tried a few other things to no avail.

As per blog supports suggestion I have re-uploaded the upgrade 3.6.8 patch 1 in ASCII mode and have updated all files on the root.

I have then rebuilt the search index. - this did not fix the issue either

I then disabled all mods that seemed to be related to search and this did not rectify the issue.

If I search in either filed in isolation (Blog Title Contains: OR Blog Text Contains:) in the advanced search (individually) also get no results on the word first or second but I do get results for the work mistake

So finally I have done you last suggestion of new style. This assisted by making a word that is in the title appear in the results from the simple keyword blog search. It still did not match for words in the body of the message.

Anyone had any similar issues? Anyone think of a mod that might cause this issue. I have a lot of mods and all seemed fine until I installed blog and found that this simple search didn't work. Support has assured me that it seems to work fine on a latest version vbulletin with no mods installed.

Thanks for reading
