how long does it take for a site to be index by google?
 

I have had my forum for about a month or more now and i still can't see it under the rap forum section when i type in rap forums in google or rap forum. i can only see it when i actucally type in the name of my site which is rapfeinds.com. So i was wondering, how long it would take or do i have to do something to get it there.

Do you have a google account? Google has a webmasters section that can help you promote your site.

That will submit every url on your page to google and yahoo every night. You will need a google account to set up the site map. I guess it takes about 30 minutes or so to set everything up. You have to verify your site with google, then submit the site map location.

Also - have you submitted your site to google? When you enter this search into google site:http://www.yoursitename.com how many results come back?

But i mean, why is it that my site name has to be typed in first?

I would start by reading up on SEO (search engine optimization). First glance....I can see a number of improvements for your site. Proper SEO takes time and patience, but most of all, the willingness to learn and work. Start by reading some of the stickies on this page.

uhmm after you install this...where is this site map suppose to be on the admin cp?

No it shows sitemap can't be found
