Polls outside of thread area (welcome header, sidebar, etc.)
Does anyone know how I might have a small poll in the sidebar of a forum or in the welcome header, with a link to the results in a forum thread?
An example of this working I found on http://www.sportsrant.com/forums/. You can see the poll on the bottom of his right column. I would imagine this would be fairly simple, and yet I don't see a mod that does this easily so I may be wrong. :( To clarify, in case I haven't made this confusing enough, I have an interesting poll buried somewhere in my forum and would like to put the poll in my welcome header so it will be seen on the forum home. A small box with poll and a link to the results in the thread it belongs to. I haven't read a lot about vBa yet, but I'm wondering if that might be an easy way to accomplish this -or would it be overkill for what I want to do? |
