Dedicated hosting company?

Can anybody recommend a good dedicated hosting company. By good I do not mean the one with the cheapest prices I mean the best.

What are your requirements for Disk Space, Bandwidth, server specifications? If this clarifies we can assist you in a much better way.

WHat is the difference between managed and no managed?

I want a U.S. server right now I have 100 gig storage but I doubt I need that much I think 50 gig would be fine even too much. I have 2000gig monthly transfer I do not think my site would even us 1/10th of that monthly.

So I am thinking

disk space: 50 gig
Transfer: 500 gig

Does that help?

With the managed service you will get Software updates,OS updates,Server monitoring and recovery,Security scans and audits etc managed by hosting company. Whereas with unmanaged server you will need to do it. The requirement which you have for Disk space and bandwidth, IMO you should opt for a managed VPS and upgrade as per your requirements.
