How do I use Skype directly through the vbulletin interface?
 

I'm confused about Skype through vbulletin - Do I have to have the skype system uploaded into the vbulletin system somehow, to allow users to use the buttons for chatting, talking through vbulletin? or do the users have to just use their external application of skype on it's own, not through vbulletin?

I'm confused because when I click on the skype button in someone's user profile all that happens is a popup box with all the buttons and a white field that says "I'm not Telling" in it and at the bottom of the popup box it says "These functions require Skype? to be installed."

When I click on any of the buttons it just says to open my skype program and use it from there. So what are the skype buttons doing in the vBulletin popup if I can't even use them through the system?

I'm stumped.:confused:

The extra buttons are for skype information. Users will have to have skype installed on their local machines for the buttons to work. The I am not telling means they don't have their information listed as public "Allow my status to be shown on the web" is unchecked. If the user does not have skype installed they will not be able to use the links properly.
