Cron on forum permissions longer than a month . . .
 

Hi all,

Just wondering if this is possible:

Goal: To set up 15 subforums with preloaded content, and then making them appear sequentially at 2 weekly intervals automatically using a cron job on the host.

I know how much vB doesn't play with hosted cron jobs, but I can't see the Scheduled Tasks giving a time frame longer than a month. Also, I have no idea how to use the datamanagers . . . From what I can see here (and yes, I am no coder, much respect to those who are ;-) most of you could write a script that would update permissions via the datamangers in a few minutes, but even if you had 15 of them, one for each separate forum permission update process, how would you reliably get vB to run a schedule of these over a 6 month period? Beyond the scope of vB??
