Thread Title Format

WE DO NOT HAVE VBULLETIN LICENSE! WE WANT TO KNOW IF THIS IS POSSIBLE BEFORE WE PURCHASE!

Hello,
we are willing to pay for someone that can create a simple hack for our vbulletin board.. we will have 3 sections in the forum: support, bugs, and general chat.. we would like support and bugs section to have the title with a special format.. ex.

[AB] Software One v1.0
[DC] Software Two v1.0
[AB] Software Three v1.0
[DC] Software Four v1.0

those samples will be specified on our forum rules and if the users doesn't write the tittle with the correct format and try to submit to say something like "incorrect title"

is this possible to do for vbulletin ?

Yes, it is possible.

who do we need to contact or how is it going to be done?

Once you have purchased a license, you may post in the Paid Requests forum.

ok, we purchase the license for vbulletin and install it.. then ask someone in that section to create the hack for us for free or do we need to find a coder that can do it or how does that work ?

Once you own a vBulletin License you can:

Post a request to have this done for free in: Modification Not Available?
If you are willing to pay for a custom modification to be created, then you can post a request in: Requests For Paid Services

you may even be interested to use this hack: Thread Prefixes: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=99925

this is not exactly what you require, but with a little move in your needs, that can be...

klinzter 09-27-2007 04:04 PM

to make it more simple for everyone is to have a txt file in the server with the names of the software lets say have a list of 10 names.. now when they open a thread in support of bugs they can select the title from a dropdown menu and right next to it they can input the version 1.2 or 1.3 etc.. will this be easier?

This is going into technical details, which is far beyond Pre-Sales questions.

Please keep your questions to if something is possible or not.
