how can i check the server i have is what they sold me

Depends what environment you are running. IIS or Linux?

From the shell,
uname -a will give you information about your system top will give you info about how many processes you have, and how much RAM df -h will show you how much disk space you have cat /proc/cpuinfo and cat /proc/meminfo Will give info about CPU and memory |
