Problem Creating User Group

I've been trying to create a new user group entitled Owner. The group is created but I haven't had any luck attaching the title to my username. This is done under the "Username HTML Markup" field, correct?

If not, please let me know. But I've also had trouble with the Markup field itself. I've created the span style, but after submitting the page, the closing backets will break and revert to an incomplete string. If you view the text inside the Markup field, my closing brackets will show as "</spa"

Are these two different problems I'm dealing with here?

- Thanks

You need to assign the "Owner" usergroup as your primary usergroup.

How do I do this? All I see in the User Group Manager is the "Can override primary group markup" option. I've selected this, but I there's been no change.

And even should I accomplish setting my Owner user group to primary, how would I be able to change the title so my username can read Owner instead of jr member?

Exactly what are you trying to accomplish? You have a usergroup called Owner and your only reason for having it is so you can have a special title under your name that says Owner? Is that all you are trying to do?

Why not just have a custom title? Is uppose you need to go into Users on the admincp find yourself, then make sure the primary group you are in is "Owner"

Yes, I want my title to read owner. This way when I'm moderating my forum, people won't think they're being bossed around by just some regular user. I also want this user group to be able to login and access all the functions an administrator account would.

Well, do you have yourself as a primary user in the Administrator usergroup? Are you the only one in there? Under User Ranks, you may add a User Rank for users in the Administrator usergroup and put the text "Owner" for your rank type.
