How do i make my attachments, avatars and user profile pictures are all in the file system, not the database?

If you go to your Admin panel > Attachments > Attachment Storage Type, you should see on the top of the page "Attachments are currently being stored in the filesystem at /xxxx/yyyy/" if they are in the filesystem. Same for Avatars (Profile pictures are listed under the same page for avatars).

so what do i do now ? make a folder ? outside the forum ? plz explain more ?

Yeah, you need to make a folder to put them in. I put my attachment folder one level 'up' from my forums folder ie.

mysitename
- attachments
- public_html
- - forums
- - - images
- - - includes
- - - etc

Also, make sure you chmod it to 777.
