Nulled
I bought a vBulletin license earlier on in the year and have paypal reciepts etc to prove it, I installed the 3.3.6 verison when I first bought the software and I recently upgraded to 3.6.8. I got an email the other day from someone saying that I am using a nulled script and they were going to report me, WTF is that all about? How do they know if you are using a nulled script and what can I do in order to check my forum is mine and someone is not tampered with it and stole my license, or is that even possible?

Unless the email is from vbulletin.com or PirateReports its probably not legitimate. I'd make a support ticket on vBulletin.com with details and a copy of the email just to make sure that everything is ok and its safe to discard the email.
Edit: Ooops I thought it was that they reported. See Iris's post in that case :P |
just tell them to go ahead and report you...if you have a valid license you have nothing to worry about...

I think somene is jocking, and want to scare you.. ;)

Ok, so if it turns out someone has done something to my forum and vBulletin e-mails me it should be ok as I have a license?
I changed all my passwords just incase. |
Good movement.

Only Jelsoft staff can know for sure if a board has a valid license or not. If a board gets reported to us, we will first check if it is a valid report and only take action if there is no license for the board that was reported.
Edit: As mentioned before you should only respond to piracy warning from either vBulletin.com or PirateReports email addresses. |
