Dealing with sockpuppets
 

What are your tips and strategies for dealing with the crazy people who, either to spam or to cause trouble, keep joining under multiple usernames and causing trouble?

What's the best way to identify these people - and what do you find works best for keeping them out?

i use the Encheferizer(swedish chef bork bork bork!) and the miserable users mod(both on here just search them)

I find that even if a troll is saying terrible stuff it's entertaining when 'borked'.

I also use Multiple Login Detector to detect multiple logins and Maximum New Threads/Replies to stop thread spamming.

You can't stop a determined troll getting on your site - best off to get as many laughs out of them as possible.
