Forum RUnning Slow

Getting a lot of email today from members of my forum at www.disney-forums.com/forums that the site is running really slow.

Anything I can do to speed things up (other than moving to a dedicated server)? Not really ready to fork out that kind of $$$$

We only have 300 or so members and usually 5-10 online at a time but a lot of posts.

Any input would be appreciated. I am using V 3.6.5

It loaded pretty fast for me when I just tried it.

Have you taken a look at your server loads in your admin panel? You may also want to talk to your host about it because it could be that another site that is sharing the server with you may have outgrown being on a shared server.

(Also, just an FYI, but I can read your Moderator Talk forum while being a guest. :/ )

Thanks for the heads up on the "Moderator only" Section all fixed.

I cannot find anywhere in the admincp for checking the server load. Where would it be at?

I saw somewhere where it is under "Quick Administrator Links" but I do not have that section in the Admin CP

It would show on the Control Panel Home under Quick Administrator Links if it is viewable by you. I think some hosts may not have the loads viewable for all users.

Perhaps a note to your host about this issue would be a good idea. Perhaps ask them if the server loads are available for you to view and then explain that your forum has been very slow lately and the users are noticing. As I said before, they may need to look at the other sites hosted on your server and see if one of them has outgrown the shared server.
