Want hyperlink to stay in same window

Hello
I'm so sorry if this has been mentioned elswhere, but I cant find it for the life of me. My problem is I have links inside my forum. However, when someone clicks on them they go to another window. I would like them to stay inside that same window. Is this possible?

Actually, I would really like it if 'external' links WOULD go to another page and links inside my site would stay in the same window.
