VBSEO feedback
 

Well 2 months ago I bought a VBSEO licence. I had some issues with the server at the time and I never installed it.
Now I am wondering if I should do it. I read somewhere that if you install it there is no clear way to get rid of the hack.
Does it make upgrades / add on more difficult ?
Also I think VBSEO requires a link to their site at the bottom of every page : this I don't like since I paid about $150 for the hack.
Is there a way to do SEO without installing the product ?
Any suggestion ?

If you had server problems please create a support ticket @ vbseo boards and a vBSEO total support staff can asist you.

Installing , Upgrading vBSEO takes around 3-4 min max.

I seriously donot know where you read or heard that but upgrading vBulletin with vbseo have no problems at all.

vBSEO has an option of 5 linked and 5 unlinked copyright info which can be defined by license owner.

if you do not like the way vbSEO works, use the Zoints SEO... free ! and there is no copyright notice.

No - I do not have a problem at this time: I changed from Windows IIS to Apache server because I had enought of tweeking the system.
This was a more general question.

Of course, SEO is more than just installing a product. Products such as Zoints, NuSEO and vBSEO all offer nice features, some more than others.

The problem with mods that rewrite urls is that when you uninstall them, you will lose alot (if not all) your search engine traffic.

Thats correct, vbSEO doesn't have a branding free option however as nexialys said Zoints is branding free and NuSEO also have a branding free option (I'm not sure abou DCSEO yet).

DCSEO will be going into beta testing some time soon. I'm concentrating on getting the linkbacks module working correctly at the moment.

Yeah, seems like there are many SEO options these days.

I've moved from Zoints to vBSEO to NuSEO.
