what advice can you give me? is there even more basic stuff i should know before this...any easier tutuorials/video tutuorilas?

How about the php.net introductory tutorial.

a good tutorial is to read vBulletin codes like a text... it's pure english in most cases, and there is logicals, maths and arythmetics... if you are more than 17 years old, sure you know these bases from the school... :0)

and w3schools.com is not a good place for learning php... the best place is php.net, they are the creators of the script.

I've bought PHP book with over 1000 pages..
I learn every day ;)

Personally I think it makes no sense to buy a book when Google contains all the knowledge one would ever need on coding.

That really depends on where you plan to read it ;)

You can read it every morning/evening when driving to work/home in the subway/train ;)
