I like the idea, but visually, that seems a bit small (I know it's 16 x 16, it just looks small).

the word "sorry" is better than a smiley when we want to smooth the moods...

Are the staff looking into the possibility of adding additional emoticons? I think 3 rows of alternative emoticons would give more of a variety for all, all being the community. Size restrictions would be enforced and the submission process of emoticon sets should be moderated just so things don't get broken/expanded because of oversized emoticons.

Maybe the community could get involved by submitting emoticon packs (whilst keeping the default emoticons).

We do consider adding the odd new one now and then, but not mass changes.

Am I missing something paul? Adding 1 now and then and maybe one on your birthday (because i think you deserve it for all your hard work) would result in emoticons differing from one another which "imo" looks shit. Whatever happened to consistency when it comes to the visual aspect of this forum or have you just given up on the possibility of improving the visual face here.

Just for a moment paul, try to invision an extra two sets of emoticons underneath the default set and ask yourself which would look better, whilst offering a diversity of emoticons for the masses so posts aren't made and people asking why a certain emoticon wasn't included.

I agree, I believe all the emoticons need to have the same format.

I painstakingly searched the net to find the ones we have because the all needed to be the "same" for consistency.

People always suggest one to add and its this big thing, or formatted like the one above and I'm like..."no way man"
