cant view shoutbox till x # of post
 

is there an addon that will acheive this... i have a problem where my members are posting in shoutbox more than they are the forums and it slows activity down a bit.

Some well placed IF statements would do it.

What shoutbox are you using? You could have usergroups auto move after X posts to a usergroup that would allow access to the shoutbox.

If you using Vb Shout

Make a new usergroup, and promote people to it once they reach a certain number of posts.

Then ban the no post usergroup from the shoutbox.
{vbulletin options> Vbshout}

alright yea im using vbshout. or could i make it where you only have a certain number of shouts a day then after you have so many shouts your banned till next day?
