Template/Skin/Style?
Hello,
I am a serious novice and I have a basic terminology question that would help clarify a lot for me. What is the basic difference(s) between the following: "template" "skin" "style" I know I am wrong but, they all seem like the same thing to me! Thanks! |
Changes from person to person but I would take them all to mean the same thing, a sites theme.
Thanks, Mat. |
Ya there kinda the same. Template can aslo mean something other than the skins, like postbit template and so on.

Templates are individual bits of code used to create the entire web page.
Styles and skins mean the look of the site (it's layout, graphics, etc.), if you want to become technical, vBulletin itself uses "style" and not "skin". |
