Subscription re-puchase query?
I have a annual subscription set up on my forum but I wish after that year a user can renew their subscription at a lower cost.
Is there anyway for me to do this??? :erm: |

Hello Howell, 1. Make sure your existing subscription is only set up for 1 year and the recurring box is not ticked. 2. Set up a new subscription "Renewals" or something similar and tick the recurring box for the lower new subscription level. I used to have mine set up as 'Silver' and 'Silver Renewals' Good luck Tinks |
Thanks, but..
What's to stop a normal member signing up for the renewals subscription from the beginning? Howell |
You could set up a promotion that takes effect after the subscription is paid, then you set up a promotion to run on these members.
Example unregistered >>>>>registered >>>>>>>subscription paid (promoted to Silver membership) Silver member >>>>>>>renewal subscription paid (promoted to Silver Renewal membership. If there is an easier way I don't Know it but once this is set up it should look after itself. Tinks |
