Have an issue with transerring ownership

Ok i took over a vbulletin powered messageboard, but the guy i got it from did not have the license (didnt get it from the previous owners before him) and i do not know 1)when i need to renew and 2) HOW to renew, since i dont have any license info whatsoever.

will vbulletin contact me (since i will be the admin) when its time to renew? or do i HAVE to find that license to renew for 1 year?

You need access to that license information. You are probally running an illegal board as I doubt the original site owner even kept the license there. How do you access updates?

i know for sure the license is current it expires the 25th of august, and like i said i dont own control the board yet as i am trying to do this transfer.
