Spanish Section or International?

Should vBulletin have a spanish section for non-english speakers?

I'm planning to buy a vBulletin-Spanish within couple of months from now but since this is an official vBulletin Modification. Don't you think we should have one?

Maybe International Section?

No we will not be adding any section for languages other then English. We simply do not have the staff to moderate other languages.

PS Before you say that there would be enough members wanting to moderate a spanish section, this would be no solution as we would need to add a section for each language once we start doing so.

PS Make sure you have requested permission to use the trademark "vbulletin" in your domainname from jelsoft.

I believe he meant a Spanish Language version of vBulletin (install the language pack). Or at least that is what I got from it.

Installing language packs when you can't support the language is a bad idea. People will start posting in those languages.

I think Marco was referring to the site listed in the OP's signature.

I will ask Jelsoft to use "vbulletin" in my domain name when it's release.

I wasn't going to suggest to add moderator. Those who speak English and another language can help them as in volunteer just like we do to others.

It makes it difficult for them to ask a question when they wish to get support or purchase a vbulletin license. This way, people that wants buy a vbulletin will know that they'll have support by their own language speakers.

Yes, but moderators need to to "moderate" the posts. If we can't read them, how are we going to do that?

G0F0RBR0KE 08-15-2007 11:34 AM

Thats when we ask a moderator (as in report) that a thread has gone out of hands. That why we have a "report" button. We can always translate it to the moderators.
