Infractions/usergroups causing a headache!

Hey all,
Ive just been trying to integrate my vB forum into the rest of my site.
So far its all been great, except for now.

What i want to do is this:

1) Have a banned usergroup
2) Have that banned usergroup able to see only ONE forum to talk about their ban
3) Enable it so a user is automatically sent to that usergroup once they've reached 10 infraction points.

Now, This is where im having a problem. I can create a usergroup which can see the banned forum only fine.

The problem is, When the user is put into the banned group (it isnt set to "banned usergroup" in the usergroup permission), it will show the parent category but it wont show the actual banned forum.
The forum permissions are fine as are the category permissions.

I dont know whats going on.
Any help?
Cheers guys.

Have you tried Usergroup options -> Banned Usergroup -> Is Not Banned Group -> No

Yea, basically, the user can see the forums page, and the categorys, but not any of the forums, even though the forum permissions say that that usergroup CAN see the forum.

If you get me?
Thanks

Try replicating the guest permissions

Ah i think i got it now thanks.
I created another banned user groups with persmissions from another usergroup, then changed them around a little.

Hopefully its completely working now *fingers crossed*
Thanks again :)

ok, 1 question:
Ive set it so if a user reaches 15 infraction points they get an automatic ban.
During this automatic ban they can post in a banned forum.

If a moderator decides that his infraction was wrong / excessive and reverses it, the infraction points get taken off, however, the user still remains in the banned usergroup.

Is there anyway of reverting the member to the registered members usergroup without using the mod/admin control panel?

As far as I know, only people with access to the admin panel can change usergroups.

It is why my mods can't put people into the "mod que" group.
