share forum posts across 2 forums
 

Hello I'm wondering if there is a gateway mod or something that will allow me to do this.

If I have Website A (with a vb licence) with say a forum about cats, and a forum about dogs....

... then I have Website B (with a vb licence) with say a forum about cats, and a forum about dogs....

How can I share these posts across each other.

I'm a bit familiar with the NNTP/mailing list gateway mod where posts are added from newsgroups or from emails sent... but is there something that can allow this to work accross 2 websites (domains)?

Thinking about it, maybe I can use the mailing list gateway mod, and try and get all posts made to be sent to a certain email address, and then the gateway mod on each site can regularly check to email. Not sure if this can be done. though, or the format that the emails would be sent in (whether there'd be other junk in the email) Plus I would want a name to go with the message even if it isn't a clickable name (ie withut profile)

Any help appreciated. I think that this would benefit many people with more than one forum and wanting to increase the posts in certain forums
