The easiest way would be to name the file the same as the one that's up there now and upload it via FTP to the images/misc folder

This works, but then it gets overwritten with the default logo after each up update

upload the image to your server, go to admincp, style manager, all style options, scroll down to the image paths section, replace the url in the title image box with the one for your new logo

Upload your image to severs

Then in your admin panel go to Styles & Templates, Style Manager.
Select Go on Default Style.

Scroll down until you find the section that starts with Image Path.

Change the path of Title Image to point to your new logo.

Job done
