-_- Lame, Herwaarden. I can hardly see how that was promotional. That was simply telling people that they're going to need to uh, have an account, to erm, perhaps, quite possibly, see the layout.

I'm not trying to be a smart alec, but sheesh. There's a difference between having rules and red tape and being kinda silly. :o I delete 0 post accounts, and I know how to add a fake number to the registered members, so this isn't about promotion. ;) Just sayin'. Sorry to break any rules.

What's your site about, and why do you need to be 18 or older to join? IMO, I'd suggest some contrast to all that blue ;).

It's a community directed to people who just like casual chat forums. It's not a product or a service, it's simply a place to shoot the breeze.

It's 18 or older because sometimes people post things that shouldn't be seen by children, and on my first active forum (Forum Central) I got disgusted having to moderate and "baby-sit" my community, so I dropped the babysitting, mainly. Sadly, it's not very active yet because it's been about 6 months since Forum Central died, and I've lost contact with many of the former members.

As for the suggestion on having a contrast to blue, I appreciate the feedback, but I disagree. Just a personal thing, I suppose, but I always thought monochromatic schemes were easier to read for longer periods of time. Though I do agree it's very blue. :P

I'd suggest displaying this

somewhere with easy visiblity or access, where new guests are able to know what the site is about IMO. :)
