News or Front page help plz

I can't seem to find anything on how to add a news page on the forums. For example, I want to be able to post pictures of the events we had as the "main" page and then people can click on forums, register, or log in kinda to the side. I hope that makes sense here is an example of what i want sorta http://www.ffxi-poisoned.com/vbf/
