NEED HELP! "Latest Topics" Feed

Alright --- First of all, I have searched far and wide on these forums for a definite answer but could not come across one.

I am looking to recreate a "Latest Topics" feed much like www.fast-autos.net on the leftnav.

How do I go about doing this? Hopefully it is fairly easy. This Latest Topics feed will be going on a non-VB page..
