Improved Thread Preview

?What this do?:
vBulletin already have a thread preview. But only works fine
with IE, and: i don't use IE.
Mozilla Firefox (gecko engine) shows only some characters for
the preview, and not the limit that you put on admincp in
"Length of Thread Preview Text" inside of Forum Display
Options.

So, this simple tooltip imitates the behavior of the "title-preview" (the vb's default), but it display all the char limit that you specify in length preview options.
Full working and tested in Firefox, Netscape, Opera and IE.

Options: no one. You just simple adjust the "Length of Thread Preview Text" in admincp -> vboptions -> forum display options, like before.

Customize:
By default, improve thread preview imitate the vb's default preview, so you see the same white-box when you put your mouse-cursor in a thread title... obviously, with multiple lines and a lot of characters more than the "title-preview" shows.

But, you can make it look like one of the examples here:

...because this mod uses that javascript for tooltip (you can donate him if you like this, really).
With basic html knowledge you can make you thread preview look like this:

...like a balloon (you need to download and put in your "clientscript" folder that extensions yourself, and clone the "forumdisplay template edit" and put the javascript's extension name in there too; its easy, just html).
You can even parse images in the new thread preview (read the documentation in the developer's page).

So i just give the very basic for this mod, with standard colors and simple... but cool too ;)

Installation:
1.- Upload the javascript (tc_coolthreadpreview.js) to your /forum/clientscript/ folder.

2.- If you have installed Andreas's TMS:

...you can simple install it:
Go to your admincp -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products ->
[Add/Import Product] -> and import product-tc_improvedthreadpreview160.xml
That's all. No template edits. Up and running.

If you don't have installed TMS, check this file inside the zip:
ITP160_templateedits-from-TMS.txt
Follow it, and do the template edits.

3.- Done!.

Keep an eye on the third template edit (the first edit to threadbit template); that's is THE EDIT. If you want to customize your new thread preview, put the vars in THE EDIT. You need to check the developer's page to find the documentation, vars and how to play with them (just if you want to customize!).

Upgrade:
If you was using the version 1.5 of this mod, simple uninstall it (remove the plugin), and revert the old template edits. Then install this version as normal.

This mod is not working in 3.6.8 when the user is not logged in. Instead a small empty box displays. Once logged in it is working fine again. My admin CP tells me that this product is not designed for the current version so maybe we need an update?
