Two vB licenses, one DB..

If I have two vB licenses, and I want to use on DB (one login, one profile, etc), how can I do it?

Have the config.php settings the same.

Then thats the _exact_ same site.

It requires ALOT of custom coding, or a switch via a plugin to only show certin forums and a differnt style depending on the URL. You could not set a domain specific cookie, you, and you'd probally have to change some other settings depending on what url the user accessed the site from.

It seems to be really complicated!
So, I will have to use the same settings in my config.php, and then what? I dont want to change the forum style. I want use the same I use on the main forum. Then.. mhh, wich forums should I hide? I haven't understand. http://www.web-city.it/forum/images/smilies/mumble.gif

Firstly, what do you want to achieve?

Triky 07-30-2007 12:54 PM

Yes. I have my main forum (http://www.web-city.it/). Then, I would like to have another forum in wich I will offer vB forum hosting (sections). I could do this thing now.. in my main forum.. but it will broke in permissions system.. (staff area, for example, could be visible.. and I don't want this). So, with this solution, I could have a precise forum; simple to manage.

You cannot sublease/subrent vBulletin.

Triky 07-31-2007 01:13 PM

I know, but I mean "sections".
You, Zachery, if you come to Web City and ask for your personal *forum*, I create a *section* and I put you there like mod. So, not admin permissions, not vB admincp permessions. Just a section.
I think this isn't illegal.
If it is, please let me know.

How are these sections viewed?

Like this: http://www.web-city.it/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=58, for example.
