While hacks are nice, not everyone adds to the viability of a forum.

All in all, I think I have 2 or 3 published hacks installed but I have over 100 different code changes needed to make my forums run better for myself and my team.

98 of those changes are behind the scenes and the average user will never see them.

Will I make these available to the community? Not all of them, some will be posted for free, others may be released as commercial add-ons. Still others will never be seen outside my own sites.

thats a good way, keep the hacks to yaself, then you can have an individual hack...that no one else has! ;)

Different features have been implemented to fit SitePoint's business model and increase our profitability. I run one of the most active communities in our niche. Why would I make these things available to my competitors?

Those that aren't related to our specific model, I will release or I will release a more generic form for general use.
