You guys are killing me!

Every time you send out a "There is an exploit with XXXX hack, we suggest you remove it." Well, please STOP removing the hack from the site. It should be basic knlowledge that we NEED the original files to do a unistall successfully! I just unistalled the pager hack and need the instructions to complete this! Now my site is down with a DB error and I can't fix it without the files!

Not that it helps with this issue... It's always a good to keep the raw files for the hacks you install less they get removed (by vb.org staff or by their author).

Anyone have the pager instructions? I removed the code from the footer, but can't find the rest.

I agree, and I take some of the blame. But it is a terrible way to just remove a hack and make users guess how to uninstall. A better way would remove the info on the hack and have a .txt at least saying how to remove.
