Adding someone as a co-auther/supporter

Does this give them any benefits as to the actual thread? Or does it simply list their name with a link?

Shazz 07-23-2007 04:47 PM

They can see who marked installed, and who downloaded at what version
Thats about all I can see it as.

Okay cheers buddy =]

Can i just ask what's the benefits of that?

Is it just to see who should get support and whatnot?

Shazz is correct, that's pretty much the only difference.

Some authors stipulate that they'll only provide help to users who have marked their modification as installed; this provides a means to monitor such activity. There is probably some other purpose behind it, but I see that as a primary use of it.

IMO
I also think the author feels good when it shows up more installs on there mod they have made and that other people are using something they have created or done.
