replace navbar with DHTML menu?

I'd like to replace the navbar with a DHTML menu. Has anyone tried this before?

I presume it has just haven't seen it before i don't think but it is surely just the same as any other template edits?

Almost anything is possible, i'm sure i have seen it recently just don't know where. You would just need to edit the navbar template with whatever your dhtml menu is.
