Linking membername to non vbulletin profiles
 

We use vbulletin as a forum for our custom built site. We'd like to link the usernames in posts to our own custom member profile pages.

I was wondering what people's thoughts were on tapping into vbulletin to dynamically connect to nonvbulletin pages. Is there a relatively simple non invasive way to add dynamic links?

My opinion on the idea is entirely neutral. To do it depends on the relationship between the external and internal user tables, but at the least will require a relatively minor addition to the postbit template, and at max a bit of code to retrieve the releavnt info and make sure the template receives it.
