How do I set thread views to count multiple views from the same user?
Right now, my forum only updates the thread views when different users view the thread. For example, if a thread says it has 30 views (and I have already viewed it) and I view it 10 more times, it does not change to 40 views, it remains at 30.
Any suggestion on where to change this within the Admin CP? |
I think you can only updated it every so often, 24 hours maybe.

Thanks, but there should be a way to do this. I have been on other vBulletin forums and seen a thread view count update in real time. If I click a thread 10 times, it should reflect it was viewed 10 times.
Anyone out there know how to do what I am trying to do? |

At a guess it involves the threadread table, so you might like to have a look at includes/functions_bigthree.php. However, were it me, I'd be using the threadread table as a way of determininng new posts, so at a guess disabling one will disable the other. It would be interesting to know why you would want to report how often a malicious user clicked the reload button. |
I would like to know if it could be done, and how, it seems to work on this board.
