How to create a product from scratch?
 

Hi everyone,

I want to create a new feature for vBulletin, nothing advanced, just 1 page, that will upgrade/downgrade user groups.

Im not interested in using existing products/plugins/hacks, i want to create my own.

Do i create this as a plugin or as a product?

And how do i create it as a plugin or product?

To summerise:

I want to create 1 new vbulletin page (accessible by members only), with just a form in it, and some php code that will change a users 'usergroup'.

e.g: a user is given a password, they access my custom page, input the password, and if successful their usergroup is changed. If unsuccessful, there usergroup is unchanged.

I then want to create this as a plugin or product so other vBulletin members can download and install it.

Any advice and tips would be extremely appricated!!!

Look in the Articles section for "vBulletin-powered pages". Also, enable Debug Mode, it will allow you to see developer functions.
