How do I add buttons to the WYSIWYG editor for custom BBCode
I would like to add some buttons to the WYSIWYG for my custom BBCode. I figured this would be something many people would like to do since the users might not be aware of the custom BBCode on the site.
Could anybody point me in the right direction? Do i need to modify some files? Is there an API to add buttons or settings (which would be great!)? Did anybody do this before? Thanks |
That's rather easy; just create a 21x20 button and upload it somewhere, in the BB Code-section of the Admin CP there is an option to enter the URL to a button which will then be displayed in the editor.

Even if he adds an image, he'll still ned to wrap a code to make that button work proper.

I added the image and the BBCode now shows up in the editor? Whenever I click it, whatever was highlighted gets wrapped about my BBCode What more could be done? |
