www.ChristianWebHost.com

I have been with Christian Web Host (www.christianwebhost.com) for 6 years. They must have been sold or hire untrained people becuase the level of service has gone down dramatically over the past year.

I run 4 sites on my account. Total Database is about 100 MB. I get about 10 GB of data transfer.

They constantly move my sites around from server to server. Recently they crashed my sites for an entire day becuase they forgot to move the database when they moved my files. Then, they blamed ME for their error:

You need to use your databases on your current server and not those located at 64.177.139.xxx.

Your databases were migrated over when the domain was moved but it appears somewhere in the interim you reprogramed some of your code to use the databases located at 64.177.139.xxx.

We can "move it back to the way it was" however the site needs to be re-coded to use the databases on the localhost by this evening.

thanks

Michael

This is outrageous, THEY made the changes off of localhost to direct access, THEY moved servers on me without notice, THEY caused all of this mess. Then, they blamed ME!

I can not recommend them in any way, shape or form. I am actively searching for a new host / virtual server.

Thank you, that's pretty reasonable. I think I'll contact them.

How's the bandwidth been for a growing low-medium sized site? I get about 100k pageviews/month using about 10-12 GB of bandwidth. Any problem with latency or server downtime?

I made the move, well I'm making the move right now. My downtime from web host blunders is costing me more money that to get my own dedicated server! It's a no brainer and I hope to be up and running live with Knownhost tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Nice one - Good luck with your move :D
