is there anyway to mass email a reminder to activate their account?

This would be nice. I have had a problem with members not activating simply because they don't understand how it works.

The forums cron those emails nightly to the users, they dont need to be mass mailed.

Problem is that many of those members do not activate their account, because the activation mail lands in their spam filter. So sending them a PM may be more effective.
There is a add-on to do what you describe.
