Integration of two forums?
I know that this is a little far-fetched but I was wondering if it was possible to integrate two separate forums so users from one forum wouldn't need to register for another forum in order to post on that forum. (I.e. registration for one forum carries over to the other.)
I have no idea if this is possible, but I was just wondering if anything like this exists out there. |
I've seen this before. Don't know how they do it, and i'm planning to do that too.

There is a hack here at the org that lets you setup multiple urls sharing the same database.
note *you must buy a license for each url* |
^ I dont necessarily want two URLs to share the same database as it is two separate forums -- however I would love to have two separate databases somehow share the same pool of users. I don't know if this is possible...
|
It is possible but you will require multiple vBulletin licenses. And a lot of cash hanging around to hire someone to actually do the integration job, it's not easy.
|
I do have multiple vBulletin licenses. But I need to hire someone to do the integration job?
|
Yes you will need to hire someone, that isnt a easy task, i will vouch for dismounted as well, he just did a big job for me and a nice one at that, you can probably sneak in right now, i wore him out for almost a week.
|
How much would it cost, on average, to have a job like that done?
