Dont host with servage
 

I run my hosting off an australian company called servage.
They are useless, they over crowd their servers these days and give you poor quality database servers, but they entice you with 3,600GB of bandwidth a month for $8.

They used to be good.
But now they suck, never use them ever!

realistically speaking, if you rent a dedicated server, you'd be hard pressed to get that sort of bandwidth at about $200 / month. So if you're getting that for $8/Month, that right there should be your first red flag amigo.

I agree. If you host normal websites and do not require a database, they are great but for forums etc. steer clear! I can go weeks and weeks without down time then all of a sudden I start getting messages "unable to locate / connect to database" and their answer is "if you backup your database and move it to another one of our MYSQL databases, this will fix your problems".... then it works for about 2 weeks.
