Hide Reported Posts Until Verified
 

Is it possible to make reported posts like soft deleted but allow a message to been so that nobody can see the actual until a staff member has verified it?

that is possible, easy and simple... i'm sure some coder will do it... because if i'm the one who do it, i just release on my site, and you will complain that it's a paid site...

you're saying if you create it and try and sell it, people will complain that you are selling it? That might be true for a hack such as this because it's just a bonus, and doesn't really offer any way for the site owner to use it to attract new members and maybe recoup his cost.

I would like it as a free hack, but you're right, I wouldn't pay for it. I have paid for hacks in the past though.

it is not that i would "sell" it, but access to downloads on my site are managed via a membership/subscription, because i can't control who have a license, and then i need to be sure you really need that hack... it also helps provide support and debugs for my releases - remember, i'm not a Jelsoft guy, i need to be paid for my work!

i already received a ton of complains from kids making requests and who were not ready to pay even a little 10$/year for these requests...

If you can do it, and even combine it with your report post via pop up, I'd pay the $10 for your forum access :)

do it then, the hack is already releasable...

and it is not a combination of hacks actually.. you pay the membership and have access to all the free stuff (free means available with no limits.)

actually, the hack can do one thing: soft-delete a post/thread is the post/firstpost is reported... it can't force the "deletion notice" to be shown... for that, you simply have to edit your usergroups and enable "Can See Deletion Notices" ...
