v33 games & score sumbit problems
 

I have managed to "detect" the problem with v33 games and score saving. My problem was that it only saves your 1st score.

Now I've "studied" this problem on my forum for few weeks and I know that this problem doesn't exist if you always start the game in new window. Or if you don't want to play in new window, you have to close your browser and come back again to be able to play in the same (forum) window.

Is there any way to fix this? MrZeropage you had a look on this 2-3 weeks ago but now I have more info (same window = doesn't work, new window = works), so can you trace this problem and fix it for 2.6.2+?

Seems this problem is related to IE7 as in Firefox, Opera ect. it works fine

But I have NO idea what IE7 does *confused*

Yeah I tested it and you're right, it's only IE7 problem. :o

maybe you find a hint to IE7, cookies, sessionhandling ect. somewhere in the outer space of the internet ;)

If you find anything, please let me know

I tried but couldnt find anything.. =/ Maybe someone with little more knowledge could try to find something..?

The arcade has two options in the game box,,
Play game and
(in new window)

You can edit the arcade/skin so members only Play in new window..

Thats what I have done..
Scores submit fine so far..

But what is the difference IE does when playing in the same window ?

I am still trying to find this out ...

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the problem, but sometimes when my brother has played arcade and then goes back to forum index or browses some thread and I watch Who's Online I still see him "viewing arcade home", and when I put my mouse over that question mark it says something like "arcade.php holdsession" even though he hasn't been in arcade for 4-5 minutes and doesn't have any arcade games open in different windows... And he also has IE7.

...you refresh your "who's online"-page and it still shows him doing the holdsession ?

He does not have any TAB in his browser left open with any arcade-page on it ?

1. Yes I refreshed.

2. No he didn't have any tabs or other windows with any arcade page. ;)


This doesn't happen always, just sometimes... but still it's weird.

Just happened to me too. I played arcade, went to index.php for 1 min, then clicked who's online and it said I was in arcade holdsession, then it automatcally refreshed and I waas still in arcade holdession... then I waited 20 secs and pressed "Reload this Page", and still arcade holdsession.

I didn't have any other tabs or windows open.
