Step by Step on moving to new Server?

Can somebody post a quick step by step on moving to a new server. Mine is simply too slow for our purposes and I need to move somewhere else.

your new webhost should offer to migrate you for free.

Excellent. Do I need to set up a "we have moved" page at least temporarily?

So yours in your sig would transfer the site for me? What about the database?

we move everything, site, database, files, everything. And no you dont need to put a we have moved page, just lock the forum at the old location, open the forum at the new location, leave an IP based link of the site at the new location in the disabled message on the old server, update the DNS and give it 12 - 24 hours to simply update worldwide.

Do you have a link to your site ? How large is your database ? How many modifications have you installed ?

Well, I have some few mods, about 18 or so. However I ended up selecting jaguar based on a friend's recommendation. Everything is running very smoothly and quickly. I did have to move my own stuff, but I was able to get it done with prompting. My site link is in my profile.
