what is your data base collection?

I had converted my data base collection to UTF8 after problems with the search..
and I think that this step was wrong, my DB had grow to 850 MB from 530~
and I have a slower Page Generation Time now..

but this is the only step that i can do to fix my search..

Do you have any suggestions about what to do with the DB collection? leave it with UTF8?
