vBa - upcoming events: display custom calendar fields?

I would like to display the custom fields I have created for a calendar in the output of the upcoming events module. Using vBadvanced 3.0 RC1.

Some competence in php/MySQL, but I'm having trouble figuring out where to start. Any ideas?
